Christmas Season In Motion

I have managed to upload a bunch of new photos to the gallery again and am up over 1000 photos in there now. There are mainly pictures from our family, including some from the already in motion Christmas season. On top of that are some nature photos from both the ranch and some photos that Tammy got at the Calgary Zoo.

There will be a serious increase in photos since this is the Christmas season and we still have 4 or 5 parties and celebrations to go to including the Adams Christmas for all the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren for my Grandma Mildred Adams. This will be the first time in many years that the entire family will be in attendance, so we are having a family photo taken.

Unfortunately, I received the benefit of finding out that someone whom I thought was a friend for life, turned out to be the opposite. Don’t you just hate it when that happens? One day, you are having a great time with a person, thinking You are a real friend. You understand me. You listen to my goals and dreams. You laugh when I make a joke that is not obvious. You like the same things that I like. You want the best for me. You are happy that I am happy…

In the next instant, you discover that this person is taking over your life. Your goals and dreams are being broadcast one drunken night in a bar as her goals and dreams. When you clean out your closet for the Salvation Army, she is begging that you give your unwanteds to her, and she starts to wear all of your old clothes all of the time. She is doing her hair the same as you. You dye your hair a different color to be different, and she dyes hers the same. You resent and hate the words, “I love this! Where did you get it?” Because you know that she will go there and get it! You go to school, work hard, and achieve the career that you wanted since you were a little girl. You then find out that your friend is taking the exact same thing in school and wants to know if she can have all of your old books, tests, and notes since she is taking the exact same courses.

In a crying fit she claims that she hates you because you have a baby and are married and she is jealous.

Is it flattery? Am I overreacting? Maybe.

Maybe not.
