This is my version of “Marigold” by Nirvana (recorded recently by Foo Fighters) and was recorded using a 12 string Ovation and the lyrics overtop. Last song on the Logical Expressions Album.

I was having some issues with people signing up for blogs that are not friends and family of Tammy and I. I was constantly directing these people to signup for a free blog over at wordpress.com as that is a free service for the public! This site, however, is private and with blog coming under trentadams.ca now, I would imagine this will deter people from signing up without knowing us!

Finished Logical Expressions 2006

My second album of cover songs is finally over. I have a post in the forums that has all the songs that i recorded on this particular album. There is a link to the player in the gallery on the main page once logged in, or you can check out each individual song by going to the gallery category for this Logical Expressions 2006.

It was fun and I might have to slow down to only one more album in 2007, but hope to have more than that! Recording music is great for me as it is fun and theoropy at the same time! I am not really that good of singer, but I hope that the guitar and songs with other instruments is good enough for a pleasant listening experience!

Feel free to have requests. I know Tyson already told me that he wants “Little Bones” by the Hip!

Mobile bbPress Plugin

I decided to take on some code from Alex King and his WP-Mobile Plugin to create a spin off for bbPress. The result was a plugin I created called BB-Mobile and it allows mobile devices (phones and PDA’s) to see a bbPress forum in a mobile format. It automatically does this by finding out what the browser type is and if it is a known mobile device (to the plugin), it serves up the smaller format.

An example of this plugin would be viewing the forum on a phone or PDA. I have also installed the mobile version from Alex for WP, so it also works nicely for the blog.

It is my first plugin that I have created or converted over for bbPress and I doubt that it will be my last. This has forced me to understand more of the basic coding infastructure of bbPress and the plugin functions. It has also forced me to learn more php and soon, more mySQL.

Small step for bbPress, but pretty big for me! Wish me luck on dealing with the problems off of it…
