Coffee Hates Cell Phone and Computers

You would think that someone that works and plays on electronics as much as me would know better. In the past week, I have managed to destroy my “g” key on my macbook pro (I copy and paste a “g” from clipboard now) and managed to FUBAR my Palm Treo 700 with coffee.

The computer is a piss off, but I will replace the laptop and use this macbook at my office with an external keyboard. Why not send it in and have it fixed? Well, I cannot stand any downtime with it gone and the copy and paste of the “g” is becoming second nature now…..sad, but true!

The Treo was fixed (so far) with shaking the hell out of it and blowing out the coffee from my morning lapse in judgement. It is somewhat working and I really hope that it continues on because of it is done, I will be upset. I don’t like wasting money on electronics…..(unless it is worth it!).

Where Are You?

I know there are quite a few people out there that think that I have jumped off the face of the earth and to a certain respect, they would be right. I have been swamped with work for the past couple of weeks and really it will be a little while longer before I will be back on my usual online schedule. This includes my blogging, my support in the wordpress.com and bbPress forums as well as my other obligations! Don’t worry, I will return soon!

Staying True To Ourselves

The biggest fallacy that most people trap themselves in is to not accept that in a changing world, we can never remain the same person. The nurture versus nature argument makes this impossible as we will grow with new experiences. Good and bad, the world changes us and we cannot stay the same, no matter how hard we try. In a lifetime, we will always morph into a new self several times.

The trick will always be to change for the better more times than we change for the worse. A lifelong pursuit of getting the best out of life and ourselves without a binge of the qualities that make our character weak in both our eyes and the world around us.

Where am I going with this? I have issue with stopping myself from being morally flawed at times, as I am only human. I would like to tell you that I am always the best person and always do the right thing and never get sidetracked with greed, ego and consequence; a fallacy in itself.

It matters not what you classify as your moral and personal issues, but remember that we need to know who we are at all times. At some point you will find the need to compare who your were versus who you have become. It is called personal crisis.

You will change and that is the only constant. If you don’t know who you are today, how will you know if you have become a better you later? Think about it!

Incubus - “Dig”
We all have a weakness
But some of ours are easier to identify.
Look me in the eye
And ask for forgiveness;
We’ll make a pact to never speak that word again
Yes you are my friend.
We all have something that digs at us,
At least we dig each other
So when weakness turns my ego up
I know you’ll count on the me from yesterday

If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me
Sing this song!
Remind me that we’ll always have each other
When everything else is gone! Oh!

We all have a sickness
That cleverly attaches and multiplies
No matter how hard we try.
We all have someone that digs at us,
At least we dig each other
So when sickness turns my ego up
I know you’ll act as a clever medicine.

If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me.
Sing this song!
Remind me that we’ll always have each other
When everything else is gone.
Oh each other….
When everything else is gone!

This is my version of Landing In London by 3 Doors Down. I heard this song before, but came across a cool acoustic version and decided to try my hand at it. I recorded it in one shot playing the guitar and singing without any stops. Same deal, acoustic guitar and mic through Logic on the iMac.

Since it has been out for 2 hours, I decided to give Habari a go since their developer release has been out for a couple of hours! Owen and Skippy were busy all day anyways!

http://bbqpress.com/ and http://forkpress.com ! Way to funny Owen!

The show “stopper” really was the install though when I came across this…….*sigh*

Habari needs PHP 5.1.x or higher to run. You are currently running PHP 4.4.4.

So if you want my review, it isn’t going to happen because my server is technologically challenged!
