All Heart - Wendel Clark Tribute
I grew up in Canada. I grew up with hockey. It is a passion of mine and part of shaping who I am today. One player that I always loved growing up was Wendel Clark as he was one of the hardest working players in the league. [...]

This is funny!

This would be how I would kick a penalty!
Canada For Gold
Once again Canada hoists another gold medal! With a solid win 4-2 over Russia. Jonathan Toews pokes in, yet, another goal. That is looking great for the Blackhawk roster, being that they have their eye on him! Once again, another true Canadian joins the ranks! Have you seen the extreme acceleration and agility this kid [...]
99 Reasons Why 99 is The Great One
NHL.com had posted quite some time ago, 99 reason why Wayne Gretzky is the Great One. I finally found it and read it after going down memory lane with YouTube the other night. Here is what they say:
At the age of 10, Gretzky scores 378 goals in Brantford’s atom league - still an age group [...]

Oilers Holding ON!
I am pleased to say that I love Pasani! What a great shorthanded goal to force game 6! That is all I have to say as I am working on fixing some things with this site and need a new post!
June Rains and Oilers
Well, I decided it was time to take some time off from working for 4 days and we left last night for a camping trip. It rained last night, it is raining now and supposed to rain until Monday. What can you do?
It is also raining for the Oilers with the recent 5-0 [...]
Go Oilers Go!
Ok, I know, I said I was an Flames fan, but anyone that knows me keeps in mind that I am a proud Albertan and cheer for Alberta in general. That is why I am going to go ahead and say it!
Go Oilers Go! All the way to the cup!
Training Update For May 2004
While I have not really been updating my training information on this site as much as I should, I would like to tell you some of the things that are going on in point form:
1) Training with Travis Buxton for most of 2004 so far
2) Took most of March and April off because of Winterhawk

Moving Towards Training Certification
Travis Manning and I are heading to Edmonton this weekend to take the first of 2 courses needed to achieve our fitness trainer certification. It is going to be great. It is Saturday and Sunday for 8 hours each day. Should be a great time and a great learning experience. More on this after the [...]
Split-Day Training
While I didn’t post about it yet until now, I started doing a split-day training regiment on November 25th. This entails me doing our normal training schedule with 15,12,10,8 in the evening and doing the same muscle groups in the mornings, just offset a couple of days. Here is what I have been doing:
Monday AM [...]

This seems to be the way that we want to run our training log now.
Great Day For Canada
Yesterday was a great day in sports for Canada. Mike Weir, a left-handed golfer I might add, won the Masters! The fucking Masters! Wow! It was great to see a Canadian win! He is now more popular than any other Canadian in the minds of the US!
As well, our Alberta representative, Randy Furling(?) or whatever [...]
Steve Yzerman!!.Who Are You?
I was listening on the 106.1 The Goat this morning and heard a story that would make anyone who is a long time hockey fan cringe. The story deals with a member of the radio station, Poncho Parker, when he lived in Winnipeg and they still had the Winnipeg Jets.
Poncho was at a wedding downtown [...]
Man I love Golf!!
I have never mentioned this on this site before, but I love the game of golf! It is one of those games that allows you the freedom to blame yourself when things go wrong! I love team sports, but individual games like golf are what I find most interesting.
In most professional team sports, your paycheck [...]
